Resurrection Life Church AV System

Challenge:

Resurrection Life Church, or Res LIFE, welcomes nearly 1,600 to the comforts of its worship services. The AV system would need to designed, engineered and installed to meet the unique presentation needs of a large-capacity congregation, including concert-style performances. Today, the 33,000 square foot facility stretches across 62 acres, and features an 11,000-square-foot worship center. Sound reinforcement, projection and comprehensive lighting systems were just a few of the requirements for this project, with coverage of Res LIFE's main sanctuary, a separate sanctuary for teens, classrooms, café, nurseries and administrative offices.

Solution:

Res LIFE's advanced audiovisual system is versatile enough to support leadership conventions, full-scale concerts and more. Visual appeal is magnified by the use of three sleek projection screens (nearly 8' x 14' with 16:9 ratio), matched with XGA 5500 lumen LCD projectors. To produce a dynamic depth of sound for all services, a 5-way self-powered speaker system was custom built for the main sanctuary. A 48-input digital mixing console, an 8-input/out signal processor and 12" 2-way multipurpose speakers also add critical support to the audio.

From 19" LCD touch screen monitors to lamps and consoles, a comprehensive lighting and control design system provides Res LIFE with plenty of flexible production options. An Ion 1000 console supports the easy management of the core production components. This innovative technology marriages intelligent lighting fixtures (LEDS, color scrolls, etc.) with conventional theatrical fixtures (spotlights) and architectural control (house lighting for entrance). With 5 program cues available, each program can contain a maximum of 10 scenes with 36 timed events that can be set to any desired clock time.

In addition, their HDTV system equips multiple displays, allowing the church to provide digital signage throughout the facility, with announcements, greetings, updates and more.

ASHRAE compliant lighting is featured throughout the facility, allowing for the global management of the lighting system with valuable cost savings.
